iNaturalist Workshop – with Wild Dunedin Festival

The Student Leadership Team in TBK will show the public how to use iNaturalist as part of WILD DUNEDIN FESTIVAL.

Town Belt Kaitiaki is excited to be holding an iNaturalist workshop fun day at our amazing Town Belt Role Model Site! iNaturalist is a Citizen Science app which allows you to identify the plants and wildlife around you using an online bank of millions of identified species and learn about them. You can connect with scientists to learn all about the wildlife in your surroundings.

Come along to the extraordinary Dunedin Town Belt on Thursday the 20th of April any time! between 10 am -1:30 pm. Get involved in identifying and learning more about the native plants of Dunedin!
Town Belt Kaitiaki Student representatives will guide you through how to use the app and help you discover the species at our “Role Model Site”. We also have a collection of ‘open to all ages’ spot-prizes for those who get stuck-in to identifying. All you need to do is download
the iNaturalist app or have someone in your group with the app on their phone!
